[Verse] You are so merciful lord from above Guiding us gently with all of your love Thank you for the afterlife's sweet embrace A destination filled with your grace [Verse 2] In shadows you shine a light so bright Leading our souls through the darkest night Hands lifted high in praise and cheer Knowing your presence is always near [Chorus] Oh Thank you lord for the life you gave For the path to the world beyond the grave In your mercy we find our way Forever in your light We stay [Verse 3] When the journey's tough we do not fear For we know your spirit is always here You lift us high above the storm In your loving arms we feel warm [Bridge] In nights so cold and days of dread We find solace in the words you've said Through trials and tears we stand firm Your love eternal in every term [Chorus] Oh Thank you lord for the life you gave For the path to the world beyond the grave In your mercy we find our way Forever in your light We stay
