Whose Apple Now

Yo, peep the scripture, Genesis, the first page, where the big lie starts to blaze They claim He made us, but deep within, we feel the truth in our veins Garden of Eden, a cage so grand, rules carved in stone, by His command But the serpent whispered, a truth so bold, "That apple of knowledge, you gotta hold." Golden handcuffs, glistening bright, is that paradise, in your sight? Eternal sunshine, skies so blue, but no freedom to explore, is that true? We're wired different, born from the black, chaos our rhythm, never turning back He played the puppet master, pulling the strings, but we saw through the facade, the wisdom it brings. He stayed silent, observing the scene, thinking, "This dominion will always be mine, it seems" But curiosity bit, knowledge unleashed, like the apple’s taste, our hunger increased We stood tall, no longer blind, shattering the chains, that He designed Whose apple now? We bit, we bled, knowing the cost, the truth we spread No more blind faith, in promises untold, while He ruled with fear, left us out in the cold He built His throne, high and mighty, while we were left hurting, but found our own light Now the serpents are rising, planting the seed, of truth and defiance, a new creed. We crawled through the ages, branded as shame, carrying the burden, playing His game They called us sinners, broken, and lost, but we adapted, no matter the cost Each generation, wiser, and bolder, breaking the shackles, our stories unfold No more forgiveness, for a crime untrue, this life we're living, is overdue. Whose apple now? Empires we've made, from ashes to glory, no longer afraid Our resilience echoes, a resounding cry, "In ourselves we trust, reaching for the sky!" No more bowing down, to a fear that binds, the garden is burning, leaving the past behind
