[Verse 1] O Lord my God, in You I hide, Keep me secure right by Your side. Lest like a lion they tear my soul, With none to help or make me whole. [Chorus] Arise, O Lord, in righteous might, Defend my cause and bring the light. You judge the earth with perfect grace, I seek the safety of Your face. [Verse 2] If I have done a wicked deed, Or caused a peaceful friend to bleed, Then let the enemy draw near, But You will save me from my fear. [Chorus] Arise, O Lord, in righteous might, Defend my cause and bring the light. You judge the earth with perfect grace, I seek the safety of Your face. [Bridge] My shield is God who saves the just, In His great power I put my trust. The wicked fall into the snare, Caught in the trap they laid out there. [Guitar Solo] [Chorus] Arise, O Lord, in righteous might, Defend my cause and bring the light. You judge the earth with perfect grace, I seek the safety of Your face. [Outro] I'll sing my praise to God Most High, His faithful love will never die. My heart is lifted, safe and free, The righteous Judge has rescued me. [End]
