[Verse 1] On the first day of December, I opened up the first door, And there she stood with a warm hello, Pretty girl, hard to ignore Every day’s a sweet surprise, A new smile shining bright My advent calendar of women, Counting down to Christmas night. [Chorus] Twenty-four doors to Christmas, And each one brings some cheer! A lovely lady for the day, To share the winter atmosphere. But on the final evening, The star of all will gleam There waits the perfect woman, The one that lives inside my dreams. [Verse 2] Day eight she loved hot chocolate, Day twelve she danced nonstop Day fifteen taught me carols, ‘Til my voice begged her to stop. Day nineteen baked me cookies, Though half burned black as coal But who cares when the company Can warm your freezing soul? [Chorus] Twenty-four doors to Christmas, And every day’s delight! A brand-new hot adventure With a charming guest each night. But on the final evening, The star of all will gleam There waits the perfect woman, The one that lives inside my dreams. [Bridge] She’ll be clever, kind, and caring, With humor sharp and sweet, Beautiful inside and out, Sporty, bright complete. While the others made the season fun, She’s the one I want to stay: The woman behind the final door, On Christmas Eve’s last day. [Final Chorus] Twenty-four doors to Christmas, What a joyful little quest! Each girl a different specialty But one outshines the rest. So ring the bells and light the tree, The star of all will gleam ‘Cause I found the perfect woman In my Christmas Eve daydream!
