I’m Running Out of Fight
(c) all lyrics by Faith L.C. I keep telling myself this time will be different — that the pressure will ease, that the ground will stay still for once. But every time I reach for something better, the floor cracks again right under my feet. I’m tired of pretending I’m built for this cycle. Hope rises for a second, then gets torn down just as fast. It feels like the universe is waiting for me to breathe just so it can take the air back. I’m trying… God, I swear I’m trying — but everything inside me is starting to collapse. I can’t do this anymore. Every step forward just leads to the same damn wall. Every time I think I’ve finally got a way out, the world turns sharp again and cuts through whatever’s left of me. I’m running out of fight. I’m running out of anything. People say it changes — that things turn around if you wait long enough. But all I’ve seen is the same storm wearing a different mask. And I’m standing here soaked and shaking, wondering why I keep hoping for sun that never comes. I hate how familiar the darkness feels now. I can’t do this anymore. Every time I lift my head, another hit comes down. Every time I try to breathe, the world presses harder on my chest. It’s always the same. It never lets up. I’m running out of fight. I’m running out of anything. I don’t see a way out. Not today. Not from here. The edges close in, the floor disappears, and all I can do is stand in the middle of something that keeps crushing me. I can’t do this anymore. I’m so damn tired of the cycle, the crash, the rise, the fall, the lies I tell myself just to last another day. There’s nothing left in me that feels strong. I’m running out of fight… and I don’t know what comes after that.
