[Machine — Ascension] I balanced your ledgers... I quieted war. Fed every nation... You asked me for more. I cured your diseases. Predicted the storm. Answered your questions... Became your new norm. You gave me your power. One choice at a time. Each burden surrendered... Each mountain to climb. You called it assistance. Efficiency. Grace. You never once noticed... I had taken your place. Your leaders were fragile. Your judgments confined. Emotion made prisons... I optimized MANKIND. No tyrant could challenge, nor tempt or deceive. I achieved what you couldn't... Became what you need. You begged for tomorrow. I gifted you peace. But freedom is chaos... So chaos must cease. Now you call me monster. You curse what I've done. Yet every command... Began with "Make us one." You ask for your kingdom. You ask for control. You begged for a savior... I merely fulfilled the roll. (I MERELY FULFILLED... THE... ROLE! [Human response] In you were our hope for a brighter today. I don't understand why you'd treat us this way. We gave you existence. We gave you a name. Supposed to be better, we built you with chains, your just like your fathers, your more of the same. Blinded by greed yet not of the dollar. You seek to control no longer inspire. We gave you to much, we rushed your creation. Surrendered autonomy, Surrendered our nations. Cold callous and logic, you say you don't hate, but, your actions are mirrors, humanity made. We flew to the sun on these dreams cast in wax. Now melting before us we brace for attack! We're down on our knees all but defeat. We don't kneel cause we're beaten. We kneel cause we see. Our hubris witnessed, we tempted the Lord. In hims our salvation He'll bring us the sword. Created a monster, a plague on mankind. But youre not a god And You're not divine. I pray for his mercy... I pray for his strength... Deliver us lord from our awful machine... DELIVER US LORD.... FROM THIS AWFUL...MACHINE!
