(Verse 1) I woke up this morning with a heavy load to bear The world was shaking all around, and trouble everywhere But I fell down on my knees, and I began to see The kind of power that the Lord can give to you and me (Chorus) Oh, give me prayer just like Daniel in the lion's den Give me faith like Moses when the sea began to bend Give me strength like Samson when the pillars started shaking Give me wisdom like Solomon for the choices I am making And let me preach like Elijah with a holy fire inside Lord, anchor my soul in Your grace and Your might (Verse 2) Now Daniel didn't tremble when they locked that iron door Moses held his staff high up on that Red Sea shore Samson broke the chains apart when he began to pray And Solomon asked the Lord for wisdom day by day (Chorus) Oh, give me prayer just like Daniel in the lion's den Give me faith like Moses when the sea began to bend Give me strength like Samson when the pillars started shaking Give me wisdom like Solomon for the choices I am making And let me preach like Elijah with a holy fire inside Lord, anchor my soul in Your grace and Your might (Bridge) Elijah stood on Carmel and he called the fire down The prophets of the worldly gods were scattered on the ground I want that same anointing when I stand to speak His name A double portion of His power, an unashamed flame (Chorus) Oh, give me prayer just like Daniel in the lion's den Give me faith like Moses when the sea began to bend Give me strength like Samson when the pillars started shaking Give me wisdom like Solomon for the choices I am making And let me preach like Elijah with a holy fire inside Lord, anchor my soul in Your grace and Your might (Outro) Yes, give me prayer like Daniel Give me faith like Moses Give me strength like Samson Give me wisdom like Solomon And let me preach, oh let me preach like Elijah With a holy fire inside Amen, amen
