[Verse] God said with a sigh hey it's been a while Devil cracked a grin said yeah I like your style They met down on Earth where the fires and floods Are blamed on their names while humans draw blood [Verse 2] God said I gave 'em free will what more can I do Devil shrugged and said yeah I gave 'em tools too But the mess that they made it's their own design We just watch from afar while they toe the line [Chorus] They point fingers north they point fingers south Words of blame pouring from every mouth God and the devil just stand and stare Shaking their heads like they don’t even care [Verse 3] God said I gave them light love and life They twisted it up into darkness and strife The devil replied hey I just plant the seed They're the ones who water it in their greed [Bridge] Heaven or hell don’t hold the reins Human hands are steering the plane God and the devil we aren’t to blame Yet they shout our names in this tired old game [Chorus] They point fingers high they point fingers low Every disaster no matter how it goes God and the devil just stand and sigh Taking no sides in their shouted cry
