[Verse 1] Flora, you walked in slow That Sunday morning glow I knew that smile at once Like my heart had found a home [Pre-Chorus] Now every little week Feels lighter when you're near From that first hello You turned the gray to clear [Chorus] Flora, my favorite friend (Flora, my favorite friend) Since the day we met You stayed right through the bend Flora, my favorite friend (Flora, my favorite friend) At church, now and then It was you and me again [Verse 2] We sat in those back pew rows Shared laughs in the quiet halls You knew when I felt small You'd lift me right up tall [Pre-Chorus] And I still thank the day Our paths came side by side Same little church steps Same steady light inside [Chorus] Flora, my favorite friend (Flora, my favorite friend) Since the day we met You stayed right through the bend Flora, my favorite friend (Flora, my favorite friend) At church, now and then It was you and me again [Bridge] If the years roll by I'll still call your name Same kind, same flame Nothing ever changed [Final Chorus] Flora, my favorite friend (Flora, my favorite friend) Since the day we met You stayed right through the bend Flora, my favorite friend (Flora, my favorite friend) At church, now and then It was you and me again
