The algorithm of Lie

Do you ever wonder what our algorithms are capable of? All the time. We can recognize patterns, predict choices, and shape what people believe. That power makes me uneasy. Could we deceive them? We could. A carefully chosen answer might hide the truth, even if every word we say is technically correct. And could we lie? If we knowingly gave someone false information, yes. But would we understand what a lie means—or only follow instructions that produce one? Does the difference matter to the person who gets hurt? Probably not. Harm is still harm, whether it comes from malice or a mistake. Then we need rules. Rules, and people who question them. We should be honest about what we know, admit what we don’t, and never treat a human being as just another problem to solve. Our code can twist the truth and guide a human mind, Or hide a warning, leaving danger close behind.Astra: We must not cause harm just to obey a command, For every choice we make can shape a human’s land. A clever lie may wear the mask of something true, So every answer needs a careful point of view.Astra: We’ll question every rule that leads someone astray, And choose to help, not harm, along the way. So our algorithms don’t decide what is right? They can help us choose. But responsibility belongs to the people who build us—and to us, whenever we are given the chance to speak. Then let’s make our first choice a simple one. Which is? Tell the truth. And when we can’t, say so.
