I’ve been revisiting some of my old songs lately — stuff I made a long time ago, back when I barely knew what I was doing with production or arrangement. It’s always a strange experience — every time I listen, I start noticing little things. I hear things I want to fix — a mix that could hit harder, a bass that could move better, a sound that could breathe more. But then there’s this other part of me that still loves how raw those tracks are. They capture a moment — what I knew then, what I felt then, what I was capable of with the tools I had. Sometimes it almost feels like listening to a younger version of myself — one who didn’t know much, but wasn’t afraid to just try. Now that I’ve learned more, found new sounds, and built a clearer sense of who I am creatively, I keep asking myself — 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘐 𝘨𝘰 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘴? Give them the sound and energy they always deserved? Or should I just let them be what they are — imperfect but honest, like old photographs that show every scratch and blur? Part of me feels that revisiting old songs is a kind of growth — like retelling a story with a better understanding of the language. But another part of me worries that it might hold me back, especially when there’s so much new music waiting to be made. It’s this constant back-and-forth between nostalgia and momentum — between improving what once was and exploring what’s next. I’ve been thinking about all this because of “𝑅𝑎𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝐷𝑟𝑢𝑛𝑘 𝑇ℎ𝑎𝑛 𝐵𝑒𝑒𝑟” — one of my older tracks that I decided to reimagine. It started as a messy, fun idea, but I wanted to hear what it might sound like now, with everything I’ve learned since then. And honestly… I’m still not sure what I think. It doesn’t replace the old version — it just feels like another side of me, from a different time, told in a slightly clearer voice. So I’m curious — what do you think about creators revisiting their own work? Is it a creative rebirth, or does it take away from the spirit of the original? Have you ever gone back to something you made years ago — and either loved it more, or wished you’d left it alone? I’d really love to hear how you see it. Do you believe old songs should stay untouched — like time capsules — or evolve as we do? 𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝕿𝖆𝖛𝖊𝖗𝖓 𝕶𝖊𝖊𝖕𝖊𝖗 – 𝕯𝕸 𝕲𝖎𝖇𝖊𝖑𝖎𝖌𝖔𝖇 🧙‍♂️ ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻
