I got a chance take this challenge like a man I got chance represent who I am I got a chance to show where I come from this whole time been banging on my drum born in New Mexico Alamogordo at age 2 now it's off to Colorado just a kid and I'm happy to be alive but my parents no they don't jive Momma's got a new boyfriend in town and Daddy, no he ain't hanging around So here we go brought up in a rodeo this new clown now he's getting physical I'm too young to stand my ground so I learn to stay on down time for another heaping of upheavel pack the bags and escape this evil I got a chance take this challenge like a man I got chance represent who I am I got a chance to show where I come from this whole time been banging on my drum off to New hampshire where's there family ancestry doesn't mean a thing to me now there's nothing familiar in site and everyone says "have a good night' oh but they don't know where i come from I might be young but I'm sure as hell not dumb and I'm the good son outstanding boy and nothings wrong cuz I'm a decoy as I grow up things are getting harder seems impossible from where I started now I need a job need to pay my bills support other people against my will And i can't concentrate hearts filled with too much hate I need a new plan need to vacate so i self medicate testing my own fate learning my lessons before it's to late cuz I got a chance take this challenge like a man I got chance represent who I am I got a chance to show where I come from this whole time been banging on my drum so I start over gunna find a new way theses hangovers ruining my day I need to look deep inside my soul take a long Walk leave my foxhole say hi to all the passer byes spread my wings and learn how to fly stand on my own 2 feet so tall 2 secluded so I'm tearing down walls
