The Path to Fern Canyon

THE PATH TO FERN CANYON [Verse 1] We took the lower path where the cool woods stay Past the bent stick gate Your hand found mine Like it knew the way Pine needles underfoot Ferns along the tract You smiled at the creek And my heart smiled back \[Pre-Chorus] Slow steps, side by side No rush down the hill Your shoulder brushed the ferns And my mind fell still [Chorus] Walk with me hand in hand, walk with me Through the green and gold Walk with me through an endless garden, with your gentle hold [Verse 2] Let the day unfold The quiet of unknowing in the wordless Mystery where only love is told The little wren called out From the tree line You laughed at the sound And I lost track of time We crossed that little bridge Where the wood and stone stay wet You said, "this is my favorite place" I haven't left there yet [Pre-Chorus] Slow steps, side by side The whole world soft and still Your fingers fit my palm Like they always will [Chorus] Walk with me hand in hand, walk with me Through the green and gold Walk with me through an endless garden, with your gentle hold [Bridge] We will reach our bench and sit there a while, as the creek gurgles past our hearts will share peace that is vast [Chorus] Walk with me hand in hand, walk with me Through the green and gold Walk with me through an endless garden, with your gentle hold
