Bigfoot Family Band

[Verse 1] I heard a knock at my door the other day So i opened the door heard Bigfoot say Come on you ole coot and less play Then he said his family was on the way [Verse 2] Family so i was really taken by surprise Minutes later they came over the rise His wife two brothers and teenaged child Who knew the sight was really so wild [Chorus] And so now it's the Bigfoot family band They have now become a bluegrass clan Wife on violin brothers guitar and bass Teenager on the drums keeping pace They cut loose to playing so i joined in Soon a crowd had started to gather In Folks were clapping and a dance broke out It was so much fun people started to shout [Bridge] And so the news quickly spreads People were bringing picnic spreads The festivities lasted into the night The Bigfoot family band seemed so right [Guitar solo] [Verse 3] There was at least four hundred people The bells were keeping time in the steeple The fire trucks even blocked the streets And the mayor stood on a box gave a speech [Verse 4] And so the town will never forget the day That the Bigfoot family band came to play It was past noon when people woke up The Bigfoot family band rose at sun up [Chorus] [Verse 5] But they left a note on my front door Thanks ole coot soon we'll play more And so it became a tradition on Saturday nights We would get together and play all night [Chorus] [Fade to end]
