Not Like Yesterday

Got my half-glass full for the day, (I have my), Happy place, put on my happy face, yeah, No way it's gonna stay, but I'm gonna sit here and pray, To whatever god that wants to listen to me, I'm okay with, (yeah) Whatever comes my way, (yeah) s'long it's not like yesterday, (uh) As long as it's not yesterday. (as long as it's not like yesterday) Gonna give good vibes, gladly, Freshly ran out though, (sadly), yeah, time toughened me up, yeah, roughened me up, But you wondering why my moods back on track, I ain't going back, no, no, I realized that was a day gone by, Ain't no way, another day can surpass that, my- Only wish is that my hope doesn't betray my trust, Just as I was climbing back on up, need a pick-me-up, so.. I'm okay with, Whatever comes my way, s'long it's not like yesterday, As long as it's not yesterday. (as long as it's not like yesterday) Blackened skies seemed dire for a minute, Maddening cries got me tired for a minute, yeah, but the comeback, clap back, smack smack- had me do a U-turn, back, on, the, right, track, Rain water had me fearful, (yeah, yeah, yesterday) Pushin' out liquids by the earful, (yeah, yeah, yesterday) O' today's not great, but at least the skies ain't grey, and- I'm okay with, Whatever comes my way, s'long it's not like yesterday, As long as it's not yesterday, (yeah) (as long as it's not like yesterday)
