[Verse 2] You were building walls around me, you were pulling down my wings But you never understood the way a shining spirit sings Now I'm higher than your voices, now I'm brighter than your name And the stars are only sorry that you never felt the same [Chorus] I saw the stars, and they made me want to fly I saw the stars, life is wonderful without making limits I saw the stars, and they made me want to fly They can’t drag you down when you live in the light You know where you belong... [Bridge] I saw the stars, and they told me I could fly I took their shining offer, and I left you behind Pranced on out with eyes and hair aglow And cast you in the shadows that you truly know [Final Chorus] I saw the stars, and they made me want to fly I saw the stars, life is wonderful without making limits I saw the stars, and they made me want to fly They can’t drag you down when you live in the light You know where you belong... [Post-Chorus Tag] (oh-oh-oh, I saw the stars) (oh-oh-oh, I saw the stars) (oh-oh-oh, I saw the stars) [Outro] (ah-ah, ah-ah-ah) You know where you belong...
