Sound Has to Earn Its Keep

[radio monologue] [no music] [voice over narration] [no sound efx] [slow methodical delivery] “I’ve been thinking about sound tonight...... How it travels....... How it doesn’t. .......... Back on Centauri c, ....... noise was everywhere...... People yelling, engines roaring, music spilling out of windows.......... Out here… ...sound has to earn its keep. It travels for light-years or it dies in the hull. Most of it just disappears. That’s why we keep sending this frequency out. Not because the black needs it. But because, we do.”
