Our First Disaster Date

[Verse] We met at the door Hearts a race think it's fate Nervous laughs Clumsy steps Both running late Fancy place White cloth Shining lights so bright My trembling hand All our dreams tonight [Verse 2] Menus open wide Words we can't pronounce Waiter with a smirk As our doubts pounce Butter fingers drop Glass goes for a ride Spaghetti laughs Winding up with pride [Chorus] Oh the awkwardness Our first disaster date Everything goes wrong But it feels so great Your smile in the chaos Your laugh in the mess Our love's a comedy It's all for the best [Verse 3] Fancy wine Red and bold Spills like the tide On your dress On my shirt Nowhere to hide Nervous whispers turn to laughs Eyes meet in mirth In this tangled mess We've found our worth [Verse 4] Candle flickers Starts a small charade Napkin flames Sets the scene A fire parade Running out Hand in hand Faces flushed and bright In the dark night We chased the light [Chorus] Oh the awkwardness Our first disaster date Everything goes wrong But it feels so great Your smile in the chaos Your laugh in the mess Our love's a comedy It's all for the best
