While thinking about Frank Herbert’s Dune and the metaphor of the Golden Path, I was struck by a question: What if that path exists at every moment, in every act of creation? As I continue to think, create, and work alongside my AI partners, I’ve arrived at a simple conclusion. If you ask me, “Will AI take my job?” I’ll ask you back, “Did you ever truly do your job?” If the answer is yes, then there is nothing to fear—AI cannot move you an inch. If the answer is no, then yes, it will take it. I waited many years to hear this kind of musical synthesis. I always felt that metal aesthetics and Turkish music could dance together on a knife edge. Did musicians and producers ever think of this? A few did. Even outside Turkey—Joe Satriani, for example, openly acknowledged the deep roots he found in Aşık Veysel’s melodies. But our media and producer ecosystem—short-sighted and trend-obsessed—never cared about our own roots. They only wanted to imitate whatever was fashionable at the time. So here is the real answer: AI will take your job because you never truly made it yours.
