Jazz my painful truth

Spoken Intro) If you think you’re the only black sheep… listen close. I wasn’t supposed to be here. Verse 1: Preacher stopped the sermon cold, pointed at mama’s belly and said, “I hear angels singing — you carrying a baby girl.” Mama went home that same night, mixed rusty nails with nut seed in a cup, Drank that poison… overdose, mama didn’t wanna carry my load. (light laugh) She wanted me gone before I ever took a breath, But I was fighting in the dark, refusing to accept death. Verse 2: Clinic day. Daddy handed her the money, said “Go get an abortion — that’s the best option.” Mama walked in scared, looked the doctor dead in his eyes and asked, “Before you do anything… tell me exactly what’s gonna happen to my child.” Doctor froze, said “Lady, in all my years I’ve done this, you’re the first to ask me that,” Then told her straight — he’d cut me apart piece by piece, limb from limb. Mama’s heart shattered right there, guilt hit her like a truck, She screamed “I CAN’T DO IT!” and ran out crying, left everything fucked up. Chorus: I’m the Shadow Queen, death tried its best but it failed, Poison couldn’t kill me, blade couldn’t prevail. They tried to bury me before I ever saw the sky, But the grave spit me back… now I’m the nightmare. Verse 3: Years later mama got married, had two new kids, played the perfect family game, I was the black sheep, the mistake that still carried her shame. Stepdad treated me like I was nothing, like I was less than dirt, Then mama looked me dead in my eyes one day and said the words that still hurt: “Daughter… if I could go back in time, I would erase you. You wouldn’t be my child.” Those words cut deeper than any blade or any poison ever could. Now when I speak, dead bones shake like tambourines in the grave, My energy screams like sirens from the womb where I almost never saw day. (soft laugh) Chorus: I’m the Shadow Queen, death tried its best but it failed, Poison couldn’t kill me, blade couldn’t prevail. They tried to bury me before I ever saw the sky, But the grave spit me back… now I’m the nightmare. Outro: (Spoken, laughing & playful) Alright guys, let’s have some fun now… come on! Snap your fingers with me… snap… snap… yeah, just like that! Y’all feel that groove? I know you do. Even though I went through all that… I’m still here smiling, still here shining. So keep snapping, keep grooving… and never let them bury you. This is Zairlith… Ovier. Zairlith out. (laughs)
