[Verse 1] Fear not the night Nor the trembling ground Lift up your eyes Hear the sound A voice breaks through The darkened air Heaven is near Do not despair [Pre-Chorus] What was whispered Now rings true Hope has a name And it’s come to you [Chorus] Good news Great joy For everyone A child is born The light has come Good news Heaven’s voice To every heart To every choice Good news The waiting’s through God is with us Good news [Verse 2] Shepherds awake On a quiet plain Glory ignites The midnight frame No crown of gold No borrowed throne Just mercy wrapped In flesh and bone [Pre-Chorus] What was promised Long before Now stands breathing At our door [Chorus] Good news Great joy For all the earth From highest heaven To humblest birth Good news Fear undone The kingdom starts With a newborn son Good news The sky broke through God is with us Good news [Bridge] Not just for kings Not just the strong Not just the ones Who’ve lived life right or wrong For the weary For the lost For the broken No matter the cost [Final Chorus] Good news Great joy Let it be known Love has come And we’re not alone Good news Lift your voice This is the sound Of heaven’s choice Good news Forever true Unto us is given Good news [Outro] Fear not Lift your eyes Good news Has filled the skies
