[Verse] This ain’t a lockdown no one’s got chains Your choice to leave or to remain We’ve got charts and tests and a bed But you’d rather take a gamble instead [Chorus] You say you’re fine you’ve got places to be But there’s a clipboard waiting with your plea Sign the "A.M.A." and walk away You can leave but your body might pay This isn’t prison we’re not your guards There’s the door but it might be hard [Verse 2] We’ve got needles but no handcuffs here The exit’s closer than it may appear Your health’s your call we just advise You’re free to go against the wise [Chorus] This is the form, think twice It's Against Medical Advice Sign the "A.M.A." and walk away You can leave but your body might pay This isn’t prison we’re not your guards There’s the door but it might be hard [Verse 3] Your insurance won't reimburse You get a big bill or a hearse But hey If you think you’re good to go There’s the door Just let us know [Bridge] Tick the box say you can leave and go But don’t blame us if the pain says no We’re not here to lock you down We’ll wave goodbye but wipe the frown [Chorus] Sign the "A.M.A." and walk away You can leave but your body might pay This isn’t prison we’re not your guards There’s the door but it might be hard
