You came in knowing They taught you to doubt Layered the lies on 'Til you couldn't get out "Nobody's perfect" They said with a smile So you spent your whole life Running that mile But what if the race was never real? What if the wound was how they made you feel? What if you never had to earn your place? What if you just forgot your face? You're perfect, now change Not because you're broken You're perfect, now change Let the truth be spoken You were born with the answer Before you learned the question You're perfect, now change Back to your reflection The mirror got cloudy With everyone's voice They told you who to be Like you had no choice But under the static Behind all the noise There's a light that's been waiting That nothing destroys And what if the seeking was the trap? What if enlightenment fell through the gap? What if you're already standing where you're going? What if you just forgot you're glowing? You're perfect, now change Not because you're broken You're perfect, now change Let the truth be spoken You were born with the answer Before you learned the question You're perfect, now change Back to your reflection Every baby knows Every child remembers Before the world teaches them To put out their own embers But the fire never died It just learned how to hide And it's been waiting, love It's been waiting inside You're perfect, now change Not because you're broken You're perfect, now change Let the truth be spoken You were born with the answer Before you learned the question You're perfect, now change Back to your reflection You're perfect Now change You always were Now change Come home Come home
