[adjust tempo to time] [short intro] Verse 1: Our story began under the glow of a star lit trail way up high We never stopped looking upward and dreaming, you and I Love became real under the river of stars, one clear night The location of the little dipper wasn’t really a fight We took long looks together up in our galaxy’s glow Our eyes met like dancing stars, sometimes you just know Chorus: [strong last line] Sitting outside beneath that Milky Way We found our place for our hearts to stay My hand found yours, that night, as a shooting star roamed The Little Dipper pointed North, but you pointed me home Verse 2: Glowing fire and the crackle of wood adds to the night Shapes and visions appearing in the fire, quite a sight Reflections of each other in our eyes hard to miss Keeps us warm staying close stealing a kiss Chorus:[strong last line] Sitting outside beneath that Milky Way We found our place for our hearts to stay My hand found yours, that night, as a shooting star roamed The Little Dipper pointed North, but you pointed me home Bridge: I knew where I was going. I didn't know where I belonged. We shared being the guiding light for the other when feeling alone Keeping our focus on the true star of ours, The love that keeps us grounded among all those stars The North star is our promise sign, to one another No matter what the season, we always choose each other Chorus:[strong last line] Our story began under the glow of a star lit trail in the sky We’ve still never stopped looking upward and dreaming, you and I Sitting outside beneath that Milky Way We found our place for our hearts to stay My hand found yours, that night, as a shooting star roamed The Little Dipper pointed North, but you pointed me HOME [hold]
