πΆ Song 148 β Growing in the Father's Kingdom
Paper 148 β Training Evangelists at Bethsaida πΆ Song: Growing in the Father's Kingdom (Introduction) At Bethsaida by the sea, Jesus taught what all could be. Not perfect souls already grown, But children learning toward His throne. (Verse 1 β A New School of the Prophets) A new school rose beside the shore, Teaching life and something more. Truth was learned through daily deeds, Faith made living through loving needs. (Verse 2 β The Bethsaida Hospital) The sick were cared for day by day, Through wisdom, kindness, work, and prayer. Not every need required a sign, For human service is divine. (Verse 3 β The Father's Business) The Father's work is not confined, To sacred places of one kind. Each honest task and helping hand, May help fulfill His loving plan. (Verse 4 β Evil, Sin, and Iniquity) Evil comes when growth's not done, Sin rejects the clearer sun. Iniquity turns from truth's bright way, Yet mercy calls us back each day. (Chorus) The Father sees what we may be, Not only what the eyes can see. Through every struggle, loss, and care, His love is always waiting there. Not counting every fault we've made, But helping souls no longer afraid. Growing upward, step by step, Children of eternity are kept. (Verse 5 β The Purpose of Affliction) Why do trials come our way? Not always judgment, Jesus would say. Life may wound, yet spirits grow, Learning truths the heart can know. (Verse 6 β The Lesson of Job) Job's friends thought pain revealed God's will, But Jesus taught a vision still. The Father does not send all grief, Yet walks beside us in relief. (Verse 7 β The Man with the Withered Hand) Rules stood watching, cold and hard, While mercy waited in the yard. Jesus chose the suffering man, Showing love outranks every plan. (Verse 8 β Last Week at Bethsaida) The months passed by, the students grew, Testing faith in all they'd do. For living truth must be expressed, Within the heart and daily test. (Verse 9 β Healing the Paralytic) Crowds sought wonders they could see, But Jesus taught reality. The body matters for a span, The soul reveals God's greater plan. (Bridge β David Zebedee) Some were called to preach and teach, Some to travel, some to reach. But David saw what love required, And served before he was inspired. No command had led his way, Love alone moved him each day. The willing heart that freely gives, Shows how the Father's Spirit lives. (Special Chorus) Seek not only passing bread, Or healing for the body's thread. Seek the treasures that remain, Beyond all pleasure, loss, and pain. The Father calls each soul to grow, Through things we learn and come to know. Not merely saved from life's distress, But led toward eternal progress. (Outro) At Bethsaida's school beside the sea, The Master taught humanity: Trust the Father, learn and live, Receive His love and freely give. For the kingdom grows within, Where faith and truth together begin. π
