Show featured a ventriloquist alongside his co-host puppet -- Mc'Spud, together they would tell folklore stories and urban legends, all the while actors would perform said story on a theatrical stage. Show was a hit in Ireland and had mild success in Scotland and UK. It ran for 50 episodes, before closing. In the 90s US rebooted the show under their own brand "Tuesdays in Grimm" or "Grimm Tuesdays" -- as some people called it. As a nod to original, there was a host -- potato. His name was Spud and he came from Hell. The format however was different. Each episode started with Spud From Hell giving an audience a dare -- challenge, -- for example: "Bet you wouldn't dare to put a light-bulb into a glass of salty water. Eh-he-heh-heee" or "Do you have a photocamera kids? I dare you to take a picture of yourself in the mirror heh-heh-heee". After Spud proceeded to hum a theme of a show for a minute; and after that he would tell audience the meaning behind the challenge, followed by: "That reminds me of a story, that happened just the other Tuesday in a city of Grimm". Naturally challenges featured eerie meanings behind them, and following episodes were of a horror nature -- ranging from playful pranks to unhinged terror. Most episodes however were a mix of comedy and horror.
