Was it before or after our first date I don’t remember But I listened and listened to her very unusual chatter and when I was ready to say “AH, it’s all hogwash,” I would look at this magnificent temple on the hill and say “and how the hell could this come to be?” But what finally clinched the deal was when I looked in her eyes and I saw only love that had been purified in God’s Fire. Making the commitment of the heart prior to body and mind is a leap into the unknown. It acknowledges death, it acknowledges imperfection, and it acknowledges ecstasy. Love’s Love is present and Love’s Wound is also present even when I have forgot.
