The Desert Road - Psalm 107

V4.5

The caravan moves at dawn’s first breath, Through dunes that tell the tales of death. The Camels sway like ships at sea, Across the sand’s eternity. The Prince rode first with lifted chin, His heart a forge of fire and sin. With silver helm and hardened eyes, He charts a course beneath the skies. The sun beats down, the salt plains burn, No shade, no well, no path to turn. Some curse the dust, some hide their fear, Some pray the stars will draw them near. Some sought the Father, thirsty and worn, Through winds of grief, through nights forlorn. Their hope endured through all their pains He led them home through star-lit plains. The prince spoke proud with no regret, “You Follow me, I’ll lead you yet.” But pride deceives, the prince misled, Into the land where lost souls tread. A voice within the desert sighed, “The way is lost to those with pride.” But those who bent with burdened knee Are shown a path no eye could see. The wind is loud, the silence worse, Each mile a prayer, each step a verse. A star arose in darkened skies, A beacon soft where hope still lies. The meek looked up, their hearts made whole, A hope ignites into their soul. Now travelers move on guided way, No longer in vain, no more astray. And in their sight the city shone, They found their strength, no more alone. They sought the Father, lost and alone, He broke their chains and led them home. From sand and storm to mercy’s shore, They found the gate, and thirst no more.
