Xun Velkyn (Huntress Song)

‐‐‐---‐‐‐---‐‐‐---‐‐‐---‐‐‐---‐‐‐---‐‐‐---‐‐‐---‐‐‐---‐‐‐ Story: "Huntress Song" is the ritual self-revelation of a drow huntress shortly before a sacred hunt in the name of the Spider Queen Lloth. The story unfolds in the darkness of the Underdark. The huntress does not speak to companions; instead, she addresses her goddess in a fanatical, intimate dialogue. She describes the hunt not merely as a battle, but as a destiny already woven—a web in which the prey is ensnared before it even realizes it is being pursued. ‐‐‐---‐‐‐---‐‐‐---‐‐‐---‐‐‐---‐‐‐---‐‐‐---‐‐‐---‐‐‐---‐‐‐ [Vocal | Female | bright, razor-sharp, cold, ecstatic | ancient Drow-inspired ritual speech] [Verse I] Lloth... zhaun usstan vel'kyn... Dos pholor believe the surface hides them... Vel'uss jal... dos ssin fragile... Lloth's web reaches where light cannot. [Verse II] Dos vel'kyn walk above... Dos never hear the shadow behind... Every ssin remembers their path... Every jal returns to Lloth's will. [Verse III] Usstan's black arrows carry zhaun... Beyond the lands of the sun... Beyond forgotten borders... No distance escapes Lloth's gaze. [Verse IV] Dos flee from the dark... Yet carry darkness within... Dos believe themselves free... Only because the web waits. [Verse V] Usstan follow without haste... The hunt is chosen before the first step... The web is woven... The thread is already closed. [Verse VI] Usstan seek no glory... Only the silence of the unseen path... To walk where Lloth whispers... And never lose the scent of destiny. [Verse VII] Those who abandon pholor... Will remember the stone beneath... Every road returns... Every shadow comes home. [Verse VIII] Lloth... Zhaun usstan beneath Your endless web... Guide the hand of Your servant... Until only Your silence remains.
