[Verse 1] Little ones laughing, so full of light, Parents held them with hearts so bright. They came to Jesus with hope in their eyes, Longing for blessing under sunny skies. [Verse 2] The twelve stepped forward, “Please turn around,” “Jesus is working, He can’t be found.” They thought they were helping, protecting His time, But the children still longed for His smile so kind. [Chorus] Let the little children come, Do not send them away from Me. The kingdom of God belongs To hearts that trust and play. Simple faith is what He seeks, Come as a child — He speaks. [Verse 3] Jesus looked up with love in His eyes, “Don’t send them away,” was His kind reply. “Let the children come, let them run to Me, The kingdom of God is for hearts so free.” [Verse 4] Jesus opened His arms with a smile so wide, He gathered the children close to His side. He placed His hands on each little head, And blessed them with love, just as He said. [Chorus] Let the little children come, Do not send them away from Me. The kingdom of God belongs To hearts that trust and play. Simple faith is what He seeks, Come as a child — He speaks. [Verse 5] Then Jesus taught us with words so true, “The kingdom of God belongs to you.” “Come as a child, with trust and with love, That is the way to the kingdom above.” [Chorus] Let the little children come, Do not send them away from Me. The kingdom of God belongs To hearts that trust and play. Simple faith is what He seeks, Come as a child — He speaks. [Chorus] Let the little children come, Do not send them away from Me. The kingdom of God belongs To hearts that trust and play. Simple faith is what He seeks, Come as a child — He speaks. [Chorus] Let the little children come, Do not send them away from Me. The kingdom of God belongs To hearts that trust and play. Simple faith is what He seeks, Come as a child — He speaks.
