[Intro - soft piano, morning light] Oh God... [Verse 1] You have spared our lives through another night Brought us to a new morning, new mercy, new light Seal to us Your mercy with new gifts of grace We thank You for rest, for provision, for this day [Pre-Chorus] For the favors that await, for the hopes ahead Give us truly grateful hearts for our daily bread Let us never grieve You, never turn cold Keep us from unfaithfulness, from wandering from Your fold [Chorus] Choose for us, O God, we cannot choose our way Your wisdom is unerring, we are blind and cannot see We would rather leave it all, every hour with You Prepare us by Your Spirit for all we will go through [Verse 2] What this day may bring forth, we cannot know Nor would we if we could, Lord, Your will be done we pray We will trust You to take us in Your appointed way Lest our selfish desires cheat our souls of good You planned [Chorus] Choose for us, O God, we cannot choose our way Your wisdom is unerring, we are blind and cannot see We would rather leave it all, every hour with You Lead us and prepare the way, we will follow You [Bridge - stripped, intimate] The day may have shadows, hardship and self-denial But we shall not be afraid, through the gloom and trial We will press on in patience, accepting the loss Our blessing lies beyond trial, our crown beyond the cross Let us not falter in any experience [Breakdown - soft, determined] Let not the world have dominion over us today We fix our eyes on our heavenly home Pressing onward to the glory that waits with You [Final Chorus - full, anthemic] Choose for us, O God, we cannot choose our way Your wisdom is unerring, we are fools and blind Our path through gloom shall lead to joy and peace We press on, not shrinking, till the crown we receive Hear us, O God, and grant Your blessing and grace Through Jesus Christ our Lord [Outro - piano and strings fade] Through Jesus Christ our Lord Amen, Amen
