The Faces of Roots & Route (Nordic Discord Challenge)

Nordic Discord Challenge Genre: Grunge Theme: Roots & Routes Lyrics: I trace my roots back to the start A quiet mind, a fragile heart But something stirs beneath my skin A voice that whispers from within One step forward, two steps lost A war inside, who pays the cost I’M THE ROOT, I’M THE ROUTE THE SAINT PLEADS BUT THE BEAST WINS OUT YOU WANT LIGHT, I’LL BURN IT DOWN THE SAINT SLEEPS WHILE THE BEAST CROWNS I built my route with trembling hands A crooked road through shifting sands The more i fight, the less i own A stranger’s face carved in my bones The air is thick, the silence screams Two lives tangled in one damn dream I’M THE ROOT, I’M THE ROUTE A KING IN CHAINS, A DEVIL LET LOOSE YOU WANT PEACE, I’LL BREAK THE DOOR THE SAINT DROWNS BUT THE BEAST WANTS MORE Saint... oh, poor Saint... You can’t lock me in the dark... I’m in the blood, i’m in the blame I’m the shadow in your name Roots are choking... route’s erased... One last lie... two fucking faces...
