[Intro] (Soft ocean waves. Seagulls in the distance. Che chuckles quietly.) Che (spoken): "You know... Everybody keeps asking me what the meaning of life is... I dunno. But I do know... The tide always comes back. Maybe... That's enough." (Gentle ukulele begins.) [Verse 1] I met a shell upon the shore... It said it'd seen ten thousand storms. Still it smiled beneath the sand... Never asking where it'd land. I asked the wind, "Which way should I go?" It laughed and whispered... "I don't know." [Chorus] So I'll watch... One more sunset... Drink one more cup... Of coffee yet. Call one more friend... Before the night. Tell somebody... "It's gonna be alright." 'Cause tomorrow... Can wait a little while. Today... I'm gonna stay... And watch the tide. [Verse 2] Found a dollar in the sand. Bought a kid an ice cream cone instead. Best investment I ever made... Seeing someone smile that way. A gull stole half my lunch again... Guess he needed it more than me. [Chorus] So I'll play... One more old song... Sing a little... Even if it's wrong. Wave hello... To everyone I meet. Life gets lighter... When you slow your feet. [Bridge] Maybe... Paradise... Was never really... A place. Maybe... It's just... Who you're sitting beside... When the sun goes down. [Final Chorus] I'll watch... One more sunset... Laugh one more time... Without regret. If the tide... Should carry me away... Tell my friends... I had a beautiful day. No gold... No fame... No grand design... Just good people... Good music... And a little more time. [Outro] (Ukulele slows. Waves continue.) Che (spoken softly): "If you ever feel lost... Find the ocean. It listens better than most folks." (One final ukulele chord. Waves fade.)
