Lost In Translation

Words get tangled in my throat Like wires in a broken phone I try to speak but it’s a mess A jigsaw puzzle I can’t confess My heart’s a mime behind the glass Screaming loud but the sound won’t last I’m bad at expressing emotions Like waves stuck in the ocean They crash inside but never show I want to tell you but I don’t know I’m bad at expressing emotions I write it down but it looks wrong The letters twist they don’t belong A poem’s ghost I cannot name A candle burning without a flame My mind’s a kite without a string Flying high but forgetting everything I’m bad at expressing emotions Like stars lost in the motion They shine within but never glow I need to tell you but I don’t know I’m bad at expressing emotions
