Neural Skylines

Neon rivers run beneath my skin, Skyscrapers built from where I’ve been. I walk the alleys of my mind alone, Where memory’s brick and thought is stone. Signs flicker with forgotten names, Billboards playing old mind games. A thousand selves all pass me by— Reflections in the data sky. Neural skylines, stretching high, Built from sparks behind my eye. Every tower a tale I tell, Every window a wishing well. Wander far, you’ll always find, The endless city of the mind. The traffic hums in tangled threads, Electric dreams in silver beds. Elevators made of fears and hope Climb the stories we barely spoke. I find a rooftop in my head, Watch constellations made of dread— And beauty too, all side by side, Lit by the current where thoughts collide. Neural skylines, strange and wide, Folding space and time inside. No map can chart these shifting streets, Where shadowed past and future meet. Wander deep, and you may see, What only dreamers set free. I saw my childhood in a glass dome, A looping film in a thunderstorm. My doubts walked by in business suits, Smoking lies like cheap pursuits. But high above, the mind-tree grew, And from its branches: worlds I knew. Neural skylines, born of fire, Wired bones and soul’s desire. Endless towers of thought unwind, Stretching far beyond mankind. Wander on, let wonder lead— The city grows on every need.
