Burning in a blaze
My home is burning in a blaze My heart crumbles from buying too much Your hands have forgotten how to caress Your mouth only kisses to devour The Moon howls without ever finding solace He lights so many bonfires His smile is there to murder Tears flow without weeping "Conquer for the sake of conquering," they cried The Moon howls and blood has flowed We never thought we'd come to this So far from love and so close to death We are the gravediggers of our world And never limit ourselves to the vile The Moon howls at what we do to its mother Yet we all know her, the Earth The ancients told us that a man without land is a lost shadow Perhaps my ancestors saw that our hunger would make us lost shadows I howl at the Moon – I howl at the Moon – I howl like a lost shadow
