A snake lay in the snow in the dead of winter, nearly frozen to death. One day, a traveler passed by and noticed the dying creature. Filled with compassion, the man picked up the snake, carried it home, and laid it before the fireplace to warm. He placed a bowl of fresh water beside it and cared for it until, little by little, the snake regained its strength. Days later, the man returned to check on the snake. Without warning, the snake struck him. Its fangs sank deep into his hand, and the venom began to spread. The man collapsed to the floor, his life slipping away. With his last breath, he looked at the snake in disbelief. "But... why?" he asked. "I saved your life." The snake looked back at him and replied, "Because I'm a snake, stupid." The End.
