[Verse 1] I was dancing unto the Lord Had a good time Rise up, rise up I made it through the day My feet got light My hands went high Joy in my chest When I called Your name [Pre-Chorus] But when preaching services hit He said *let's get married to spend time with lord* ARE YOU SAYING WE ARE THE BRIDE? THATS NOT HOW IT WORKS WE ARE THE BODY OF CHRIST [Chorus] We rise up, rise up WE ARE THE BODY OF CHRIST We rise up, rise up WE ARE NOT THE BRIDE (Not the bride) Not the bride We are His body We stand as one [Verse 2] You said, “let’s get married to spend time with Lord* Are you saying we are the bride? I asked out loud We are the body of Christ That’s what I believe [Pre-Chorus] I FEEL BAD FOR MY FATHER me and my dad knew the truth about Jesus. [Chorus] We rise up, rise up WE ARE THE BODY OF CHRIST We rise up, rise up WE ARE NOT THE BRIDE We are the body of Christ [Bridge] One body, one faith One Lord, one name One voice in the room Saying Jesus reigns If the room gets loud I’ll still proclaim We are His people And we won’t change [Final Chorus] We rise up, rise up WE ARE THE BODY OF CHRIST We rise up, rise up WE ARE NOT THE BRIDE
