Crown of His Words

[Verse 1] He stood where the dust could hear No crown by hand, no claim by fear He said, "Before Abraham, I am" And the room went still in trembling hands They marked the wound, they watched the flame He named the Father, signed His name Every word a blade of light Cutting through their borrowed night [Pre-Chorus] Test the stone Hear it ring Touch the edge Of every thing If His mouth Can call it true Then what He said Will carry through [Chorus] Crown of His words ( Crown of His words ) He spoke, and it held Crown of His words ( Crown of His words ) The truth overruled hell What He said Stood the test Jesus Messiah King confessed [Verse 2] "I and the Father are one" A thunder sentence, fully done "Destroy this temple," He declared And three days later, life stood there "No one takes My life from Me" He laid it down, He set it free "All authority is Mine" So every hinge of time aligned [Pre-Chorus] Test the stone Hear it ring Touch the edge Of every thing If His mouth Can call it true Then what He said Will carry through [Chorus] Crown of His words ( Crown of His words ) He spoke, and it held Crown of His words ( Crown of His words ) The truth overruled hell What He said Stood the test Jesus Messiah King confessed [Bridge] Let every mouth be measured now By the fire of what He vowed If He is Lord, then let it burn Every doubt will have to turn He said, "I am the resurrection" So death bowed down in silent shock He said, "I am the way and truth" And every chain began to drop [Final Chorus] Crown of His words ( Crown of His words ) He spoke, and it held Crown of His words ( Crown of His words ) The truth overruled hell What He said Stood the test Jesus Messiah King confessed Crown of His words ( Crown of His words ) Forever proved Crown of His words ( Crown of His words ) The grave broke loose What He said Still stands fast Jesus Messiah First and last
