PMe.R. - I Don't Know Anymore
The ceiling fan is drawing circles on the wall I'm trying to remember how I got here at all There's a static in my ears, a flicker in my sight Been staring into nothing for the better part of the night And I feel a little disconnect, a little shift in gear... The ground feels soft where it was solid just before I'm fumbling for the latch on a familiar door But the handle's made of smoke, and the key is made of sand... And I am looking in my mind **Ah-a-a-a-ah, ha-ha!** A carnival of broken glass and a funhouse mirror grind And I'm thinking, should I be worried? **Uh-u-u, huhu uh** The doctor's voice is just a sound, the words, I can't make out And I don't know anymore... No, I don't know anymore... I read the same page over seven times today The letters rearranged what they were trying to say My reflection in the window winked and then it looked away Is this a brand new madness or a very ancient play? I'm an actor who's forgotten all his lines and the plot... The other actors' faces are all melting into one The director's in the audience and having too much fun... Is this a masterpiece or a mistake that's just begun? 'Cause I am looking in my mind **Ah-a-a-a-ah, ha-ha!** A cacophony of clocks all screaming out the time And I'm asking, should I be worried? **Uh-u-u, huhu uh** My compass needle's spinning, lost its reason and its rhyme And I don't know anymore... No, I don't know anymore... Maybe worried is the wrong, wrong word Maybe this is the best thing that's occurred To shake the dust from a sleepy head Maybe the sensible ones are already dead Maybe this laugh is a key, not a crack... ...But there's no way to know if I'm never coming back. I am LOST inside my mind! **AH-A-A-A-AH, HA-HA!
