Sin whispers to the wicked heart, A voice that speaks in darkened art. No fear of God before their eyes, They flatter selves, believe their lies. Yet, Lord, Your love soars to the skies, Your faithfulness beyond surmise. Your righteousness like mountains stand, Your judgments deep as sea and land. Both man and beast, You gently keep, O Lord, how precious is Your love so deep! Beneath Your wings, the children feast, Your house o’erflows with Heaven’s peace. You give the drink of Life’s own stream, Your light reveals a radiant gleam. For with You is the Fountain bright, And in Your love, we walk in light. O guard us from the proud and cruel, Let not their hands in triumph rule. See how the wicked lie in shame, Cast down, unable to rise again. But we—Your love is our delight, Your mercy guides us through the night. Uphold us now, make strong our way, Till dawn unveils eternal day.
