Pirate's Toll

+ Show full styles

[verse 1 –eerie strings, low brass swells, creaking ship wood ambience] The sails in the distance as black as death Hide ye gold and hold ye breath Sail to shore or face the risk For the pirates come with ships so brisk Their cannons shall blow through towns and souls Claiming all souls that die to the Pirate’s Tolls [chorus – deep drums, haunting choir, distorted cello hits] Oh run from the flags that blot the skies, Run from the smoke that dares to rise For gold they come and death they toll, They'll loot ye homes and steal ye soul [verse 2 – Bass male vocals in background, war drums, ambient ghostly whispers] If they board your ship, you're as good as dead, For the toll they seek is the price of yer head. You may raise a blade, but it be no use — The Pirate's Toll will ne'er cut you loose. They’ll pack ye full o' cursed black powder, And feed yer bones to the sea like chowder. [chorus – thunderous taiko drums, rising male chorus, intimidating brass] Oh run from the flags that blot the skies, Run from the smoke that dares to rise For gold they come and death they tollThey'll loot ye homes and steal ye soul [bridge – low choral hum, eerie strings] The toll is paid to the debt of the sea, For she is the one who shall swallow thee. The pirates are cursed with greed and hate — If they don’t feed the sea, they’ll share ye fate. They plunder and steal with gun and steel, Beg for mercy — get down and kneel. [verse 3 – pounding tribal drums, fiddle screams, dark tuba melody] They dance on deck with bones for feet, Cursed to never know death’s sweet retreat. With hollow eyes and breath like ash, They laugh as your hopes and hull are smashed. Their hunger’s not for coin nor crown, But to drag the living sailors down. [final chorus – full orchestral swell, crashing waves, layered vocals, church bell tolls, blaring pounding brass] So run from the flags that blot the skies, Run from the storm where mercy dies. The sea demands what pirates steal, A toll of blood, a soul to seal. They come for gold, but trade in death, And leave ye bones with none but breath.
