(Verse 1) Crowned in gold, he raised his hand, Spoke of heaven, ruled the land. Built his throne on broken bones, Preached of love but cast the stones. He wore the Word like a soldier’s shield, Marched the masses to the battlefield. Said he came in the name of light, But traded mercy for a tyrant’s might. (Pre-Chorus) Blind are the eyes that choose to see, Only the lies that set them free. (Chorus) “I never knew you,” the heavens will cry, “Depart from me, your truth was a lie. You wore my name like a blade in the fight, But you were never walking in my light.” “I never knew you,” your kingdom will fall, Built on the backs of the broken and small. You fooled the world but you can’t fool the skies— I never knew you. Goodbye. (Verse 2) He kissed the book with a serpent’s smile, Took an oath, but it was all defiled. Spoke of peace with a bloody hand, Promised justice, poisoned the land. He lined his pockets with stolen grace, Preyed on the lost he vowed to save. A thousand voices cried in vain, Still he bathed in their shame and pain. (Pre-Chorus) Blind are the hearts that chose the chain, Trading truth for a tyrant’s reign. Goodbye. (Bridge) Trumpets sound and the scrolls are read, No crown, no robe, no place for the dead. The throne you built from blood and fear, Is ashes now—you’re not welcome here. (Final Chorus) “I never knew you,” the heavens will cry, “Depart from me, your truth was a lie. You wore my name like a thief in the night, But you were never standing in my light.” “I never knew you,” your kingdom is dust, All you had was greed and lust. You fooled the crowd, but you can’t fool the skies— I never knew you. Goodbye. (Outro - whispered/echoed) I never knew you… I never knew you…
