Didn’t ask a question Still you had a say Tiny folded future In a font I’ll overplay “Patience brings reward,” “Change is overdue,” Funny how it sounds like me No matter who breaks you Crack it open, read it slow 看起来 像真理 Mirror wrapped in sugar dough 写的是 我自己 Break me open, keep the line Numbers dancing, feeling lucky Throw the body, save the sign Unhealthy — but kind of funny Crack it open, read the line Eight, sixteen, thirty-two I don’t know if it’s a sign Or just something I’d say too You don’t tell me what will happen You just tell me what I fear If it sounds a little honest That’s why I keep you here Unhealthy Crack it open, make it mine Even if it’s wrong If it sounds like something I’d say Maybe that’s where it’s from I never eat the cookie… but I keep the paper anyway. --------------------------------------- “Fortune Cookie!” was born out of an experiment to see whether Suno could make multilingual songs well. I loved the result musically, but struggled a lot with pronunciation—especially because Japanese and Chinese partially share a writing system, which made things (un-)surprisingly tricky. This new version was created by first making a cover using Chinese-only lyrics, and then mashing that back into the original version using the new Mashup functionality, which almost perfectly resolved the pronunciation issue 🙏 「Fortune Cookie!」
