[Intro — parlato, con quel sorrisetto Elvis] Well now honey, listen here… I got me a pair of shoes… and they ain't just any shoes… [Verse 1 — rockabilly swing, pieno di energia] Woke up this morning feeling like a million bucks Put on my lucky shoes and I don't care about my luck Slicked my hair back baby — looked into the mirror twice Said today's the day — oh baby — everything's gonna be nice My mama always told me — boy you got two left feet But when I put these shoes on — I'm the king of every street The whole town starts to shimmy when they hear me coming round These lucky shoes of mine — they got the most incredible sound [Chorus — urlato con gioia] LUCKY SHOES — LUCKY SHOES — GOT NO REASON — GOT NOTHING TO LOSE! LUCKY SHOES — LUCKY SHOES — HONEY EVERYBODY'S GOT THE LUCKY SHOES BLUES! Tap your feet — clap your hands — Everybody in the house — everybody in the band! LUCKY SHOES — LUCKY SHOES — AIN'T NOTHING IN THIS WORLD GONNA STEAL MY GROOVE! [Verse 2 — ancora più scatenato] Walked into the diner — all the girls turned around The jukebox started playing — lord it was the sweetest sound The cook dropped everything — the waiter hit the floor The whole place started dancing like they never danced before My daddy said son — where'd you get those shoes I said papa — these babies cure the deepest blues He grabbed my mama's hand and they were swinging in the aisle Haven't seen my daddy dance like that — not in quite a while [Chorus] LUCKY SHOES — LUCKY SHOES — GOT NO REASON — GOT NOTHING TO LOSE! [Bridge — guitar solo feel, spoken over music] Now listen — I ain't rich. I ain't famous. I ain't the smartest guy in the room. But I got these shoes — and honey — that's enough. [tutti entrano di nuovo] [Verse 3 — più lento poi accelera per il finale] The sun is going down and the night is coming fast Gonna dance until the morning — gonna make this feeling last Every single person on this street is on their feet From the little kids to grandma — everybody feels the beat So if you're feeling low — if you're feeling grey Just find yourself a pair of shoes and throw your blues away Come on everybody — don't you dare sit down — The luckiest shoes in history just rolled into your town! [Final Chorus — doppio, massima gioia] LUCKY SHOES — LUCKY SHOES — GOT NO REASON — GOT NOTHING TO LOSE! LUCKY SHOES — LUCKY SHOES — ONE MORE TIME NOW — EVERYBODY MOVE! [Outro — parlato, sorridendo] Well alright… thank you very much… heh heh…
