Museum of All Things Odd

[Verse 1] I found a jar of rain On a train-seat fold One silver beetle And a key made cold You had a map of bones Drawn in blue ink lines Said, "If it's strange enough It might be mine" [Pre-Chorus] I like the cracked gold cup I like the offbeat ring I like the things that shake When nobody's looking [Chorus] Rare and unusual That's our kind of beautiful Rare and unusual Make it strange, make it usable Rare and unusual Keep the weird, keep it movable Rare and unusual Yeah, we wear it like a jewel [Verse 2] You wore a moth-wing coat With a stitched-up seam I brought a paper fox And a broken dream We laughed at the taxidermy duck By the velvet rope Then we left with a matchbox moon And a pocket full of hope [Pre-Chorus] I like the mismatched chair The hand-painted sign The little crooked truth That only grows in time [Chorus] Rare and unusual That's our kind of beautiful Rare and unusual Make it strange, make it usable Rare and unusual Keep the weird, keep it movable Rare and unusual Yeah, we wear it like a jewel [Bridge] If it glows in the dark If it hums when I sing If it came from the edge Of a forgotten thing Then bring it back to me In the pale first light We'll build a little world Out of left-field light [Chorus] Rare and unusual That's our kind of beautiful Rare and unusual Make it strange, make it usable Rare and unusual Keep the weird, keep it movable Rare and unusual Yeah, we wear it like a jewel
