Trying Hard Not to Remember (Cover)

Stealing the air from an ember to keep that old flame extinguished forever. So I’m trying hard not to remember the fading scenes when we were happy together. Passing through this haze of days, try to tell myself I need to start anew. I block the past, but the memory stays, and though I try it seems I can’t escape you. And I’m trying hard not to remember the butterflies that I felt when we first met. What we had I somehow doubt if I’ll ever, no matter how I try I’ll never forget.
