[Verse 1] The smoke still hangs where dreams fell down Hope got buried underground Then through the silence came Your voice "I've never left." The fire took what I held tight But couldn't steal redemption's light You found me in the darkest night And called me back again [Pre-Chorus] When all I saw were broken things You saw what I could be [Chorus] Ashes can sing When mercy breathes Life into the dust again Dry bones can rise Hope comes alive Where the fire has already been What looks like an ending Is where Your grace begins Our God can make Ashes sing [Verse 2] Every scar has learned Your name Every tear was not in vain Nothing ever slips beyond Your healing hands The cross still stands The grave is gone Love keeps singing "Just hold on." [Bridge] Beauty for ashes Joy for mourning You turn graves Into gardens If You conquered death Then my story Isn't over [Final Chorus] Ashes can sing Hear heaven breathe Life into these weary bones Chains fall away Mercy remains Calling every prodigal home You're making all things new That's what You do Ashes can sing [Outro] Beauty from ashes... Jesus... You're making all things new.
