Recalculating
Driving through the city, midnight jazz on low, Lost inside my thoughts, I missed my turn — didn't even know. Used to slam the wheel and let the panic win the fight, Now I watch the screen glow soft, redrawing me a line tonight. Recalculating, that's my theory of the road, Wrong turns ain't the ending, they're a different way to go. Keep on moving, keep on grooving, watch the distance shrink and grow — Recalculating, recalculating, I'll get there, I just know. There's no straight line drawn from where I start to where I'm bound, Miss a step, it's not the crash, just a detour I have found. Keep the engine running steady, never let it shut down slow, The road will find its way again — that's the only thing I know. A mistake's not a verdict, just a different point of view, What looked like it broke me open showed me something coming true. Not afraid of wrong turns now, no perfect map was ever drawn, There'll be traffic, there'll be dead ends, but the engine still rolls on. Even in the dark, with every landmark gone from sight, I'll keep on searching till I find my road, my own way through the night. Recalculating, that's my theory of the road, Wrong turns ain't the ending, they're a different way to go. Keep on moving, keep on grooving, watch the distance shrink and grow — Recalculating, recalculating, now I know my road.
