Title: "Down in the Dungeon of Dread" [Intro] (The sound of a bustling tavern, a fiddle tunes up, a stool scrapes) (Spoken over a slow, building drum beat): "Gather 'round, ye heroes bold and weird, Who chased their fate with a crusty map and mead in beard. It started with a job, as these things do... And ended with a scream — and a goblin stew!" [Chorus – Tavern Crowd Style] (High energy, everyone singing together, heavy stomps) Down in the dungeon of dread! Where the traps want your toes and the mimic's well-fed! Raise your tankards, bang your mugs! For the brave, the dumb, the cursed, the bugs! They laughed, they cried, they almost died... Down in the dungeon of dread! [Verse 1 – The Paladin - Male Tenor] (Music stays bouncy but focuses on the fiddle) Sir Gideon, righteous and painfully just, Charged every door with unwavering trust. Said, “No trap shall strike while I am here!” Then the ceiling fell... and crushed his spear. He tried to reason with skeleton hordes, Quoted law as he swung his sword. He once tried to arrest a slime... Took two full hours — and a lot of time! [Chorus Repeat – Full Volume] Down in the dungeon of dread! Where the torchlight fades and the goblins are fed! Sing for the ones with half a clue, Who’d rather talk to a cursed statue! They tripped, they slipped, they nearly bled... Down in the dungeon of dread! [Verse 2 – The Bard - Operatic & Theatrical Female Voice] (The music becomes more sweeping and dramatic) Lute in hand, a tale to sing, But dear Elowen can’t bluff a thing. She told a dragon, “You smell of eggs,” Now limps with fire down both her legs. She sang a charm to guard their backs... But said, “This may or may not work, in fact.” Truth is noble, truth is bright, But truth won’t help in a goblin fight! [Bridge – Instrumental Break] (A frantic fiddle and accordion solo. The crowd claps along in a 1-2, 1-2-3 rhythm.) [Verse 3 – The Rogue - Mellow, Shaky Tenor] (The music gets quieter, sneaky, with a tip-toe rhythm) Now Terrik the Sneaky, sly as a rat, Wears all black — and a nightlight hat. He cries at bats, he squeaks at slime, He once hid in a box... 'til dinnertime. He fears the dark, he fears the gloom, Refuses to enter a shadowed room. You’d think that’s bad — but wait, there's worse... He once stabbed himself from fear... in reverse! [Chorus – Rowdy and Loud] Down in the dungeon of dread! Where brave men whimper and flee undead! Lift your voices, brave and wrong! For the party that won’t live long! They’re cursed, confused, and poorly led... Down in the dungeon of dread! [Verse 4 – The Dwarf - Gruff Baritone] (Heavy, slow-thumping beat) Then there’s Grungar, stout and proud, A dwarven warrior who’s not too loud. But gods be damned, what cruel affair— He's deathly allergic to ale and beer! So he fights with milk, or juice of prune, Yells “FOR THE GOATS!” by the light of the moon. He’s strong and brave and gruff and bold, But cries if mead is poured too cold! [Verse 5 – The Elf - Ethereal Soprano] (Music becomes dreamy and light, flutes enter) Last we have Sylri of forest grace, With dreamy eyes and a far-off face. She writes love poems to trollish horns, Collects them all and hums in thorns. She flirts with statues, ghosts, and spores, She once tried dating a mimic drawer. But in a fight? She's swift and keen— Even if she’s kissing goblins in between! [Final Chorus – Call and Response] Down in the dungeon of dread! (Crowd shouts: "DUNGEON OF DREAD!") Where traps go snap and adventurers bled! (Crowd shouts: "OH THEY BLED!") One was noble, one was scared... One told truth no beast had heard! They might be weird, they might be cursed— But they charged in first... and left feet first! [Outro] (Music reaches a fever pitch) Down in the dungeon of dread! Pour one out for the walking dead! Sing their tale from hall to hall... For the strangest heroes of them all! They laughed, they fought, they fled, they bled— DOWN in the DUNGEON... OF DREAD! (Sound of a massive glass shattering and a final "HUZZAH!")
